The Short Sistars - Rebecca, Louisa, and Jacinda

Not Short on Talent

SOME - but not all- of the musical talents of three sisters will be on show for the shopping public on Sunday. The Short Sistars - Rebecca (18), Jacinda (16) and Louisa (12) will be singing a variety of popular classics in three part harmony at Bayfair Shopping Centre on Sunday. 

Jacinda is a member of Tauranga Girls' College Chorale and is fundraising for the choir's trip to the National Big Sing competition in Christchurch in August. Rebecca is a former member of the chorale but has now left school. The sisters are regular performers around the Bay of Plenty and performed at last year's Christmas in the Bay. They have all had singing lessons and, says Jacinda, love singing together. They also play a selection of instruments - Rebecca the oboe, Louisa and ukulele and Jacinda the guitar as well as all being able to play the piano.

The Short Sistars will be performing at Bayfair from 1l.30am-2.30pm. The college chorale won the right to compete in Christchurch at the regional round of the competition at Otumoetai Baptist Church recently.
